Default K161 carb kit

I just put my K161 carb back together and had issues with the rebuild kit I found online. The bowl gaskets and float pin are the only parts that are actually the right size.
The inlet valve was the wrong thread pitch and the bowl nut washer was oversized so I used the washer that was meant to be for the inlet valve, but it still isn't a good fit and doesn't completely seal.
All the k161 kits I see look like the same one I ordered, some Chinese knockoff. Are all the parts for the rebuild kits interchangeable? I bought a genuine Kohler rebuild kit for my k241, are all those parts interchangeable on the different Carter carb sizes?

That's the kit I bought to rebuild the k241 carb, that will work on the small 7hp engines carb too?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
