Default A new 'JUNKIE'

Well at least thats how I feel.

There I was on my way to a Dr. app., last Saturday. taking the back roads & I see this sign, 'ESTATE SALE.' I can't pass them up, so I stop in. While walking around the house, I kept on hearing this voice calling me, look in the garage, hey Nik look in the garage.

So I walk in the garage & there it was whispering my name-> Hey Nik, here I am.

A # 109 sitting there, with a plow, snow thrower, chains, & deck.

I knew right then & there that I have to jump on it & negotiate. Tag said said $ 500.00. Being a 72/74 I thought it was in decent shape, started it up, a puff of smoke & it was running.

Now I am not going to pass this one up. So I tell the lady thats assigned to the garage, hey lets not beat around the bush i'll give you $ 400.00 for it & it's one thing you don't have to worry about. She says let me check with the person in charge. She comes back & says O.K..

So I give her my credit card to hold, run into town make a withdrawl & I am now a new JUNKIE. Rented a U-Haul trailer w/ramp for $ 24.95 & brought it home.

My wife thinks that I have LOST IT.
Missed my Md., app., but thats O.K..

Nik

You can always make a new appointment, but you can't always find a good deal.

Excellent story. Make the decision, then figure out the details! (and then tell the wife!)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
