Shed ramp
hi
I just got a new shed for my Cub Cadet 122, but I need to make a ramp. It has a about a 16 inch difference from the ground to the floor. What size ramp would I need? Thad |

ADA ramps are 1” elevated in 12” of run. Nice rise, however you’d need 16’ of ramp. 6-7’ of ramp might do the job

Your profile shows you in Colorado. If you want to get it out and back in during winter you'll want a minimum of 8 feet but 12 is probably a better number, my 8 feet for a 12 inch rise causes minor problems with traction after an ice storm.
If that's not an issue I'd suggest you mock one up to try with your implements, every mount and every tractor is slightly different as wear, adjustment, condition, tires, etc all can make your set-up clearance different from the next guy.

Get some scrap OSB and 2 x 4's off a jobsite and run some trials.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
