Side panels keep popping off
Every time I drive my 2155, the side panels come loose at the front where they clip on. They seem tight when I clip them back in, so I'm guessing the vibration is working them loose.
Is there a good way to keep these on? |

The QuietLines use a screendoor type spring stretched across, over the the top of the engine connecting the right and left side panels together to prevent rattling and vibration.
You could pick up a spring, drill some holes, and try that. |

And if you go with a screen door spring,
cut a length of old 3/8 fuel line about a foot long, and slip it over the spring to keep the harmonics from vibrating the spring, causing a very annoying noise under the hood. |

The top part actually stays connected most of the time, they seem to be popping off on the bottom clips which is odd because those are hook shaped and should be staying on? It's more of an annoyance than anything, I'll look into something like the spring once I'm done with the wiring issues and don't have to pull the side panels off all the time.

The front retainers are adjustable so righty tighty a little bit
The cone should lock into the cutout on the panel top and bottom Get yourself a parts manual for your mower and it will show you a schematic of the side panels Oz https://www.cubcadet.com/en_US/conte...e4d15fbfd274/y

my 2185 had and has the same problem. I realized that the front axel was a bit loose and when I turned short and went through a dip the front tires rubbed on the side tin. I tightened up the front axel oscillation and that helped a lot. Did not completely fix the issue though.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
