Default I let this one go...

I was the first person to respond to this CL ad, and the owner was cool about giving me dibs even if I couldn't make it over to pick it up for a week.

I let it go because the snow thrower was a QA36, and I did my research here to figure out that trying to modify it to work on my 1650 wasn't going to work.

What a bummer. I was wishing it was an "A" snow thrower. Killer deal...

There were other guys lined up to be next if I didn't follow through, so I hope it was one of you!

I wouldn't have been able to pass that up for $100 even though I need another one like a hole in the head...

Wasn't me. Too bad it wasn't the snow thrower you were looking for.

I know man. I just can't take on a third tractor project, even though I could have easily made a buck on it if I wanted to flip it.

So my "fever" is still checked by my rational side

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
