Radials Instead of Bias tires for Traction?
The AG tractor tire sites say you use a few less psi and get 40% more traction.
I guess from their images, the improvement comes from more contact area when using radials. I think I am ready to put some radials on the QL1000. Has anybody tried radial tires on the back of a GT to improve traction? |

Not radials but I run 5psi loaded W/RV antifreeze in these 26x12x12s.

do make radial tires for garden tractors?
A good 2 ply tire works if you know what you are doing. |

Clay,
I have those same tires. Not new but worn out from an atv. Got them for 20.00 off of craigslist. They where too worn for a quad but just perfect for our tractors. I'm always looking on there for tires of off of quads. |

Yea used ATV tires are less than AGS around here anyway. I got The 4 super swampers for 160 w/alum. rims sold the rims for 100. I think the deal was OK

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
