Was browsing online for an idea and came across this
Was browsing online looking for ideas on how to add small semi-breakaway wings to my plow for this winter and came across this. Now THAT'S a new one for me
PS. I take no credit for this, all credit goes to RDM over on another forum. Here is a link to the original thread: http://www.mytractorforum.com/showthread.php?t=266861

That's pretty inventive, I like it. Does he use the bucket in the front if the BX or another modified blade? Definitely a fan of the Cub-Bota.
Just saw the thread, good read. He's got some good feedback about the side loading on the blade and twisting possibility but definitely cool concept and with the winter you guys got last year it's always good to make a shelf for not so high banks and the step Method has worked for years when plowing snow on the roads

That is pretty cool! The really neat part is you don't have to destroy a blade go do it. Leave the craftsman and jd blades for that! Lol thanks for sharing!

I checked that out on MTF, it's a pretty cool build. No I will not be making one for my BX. It has all the plow it can handle.

It looks like maybe the Cub subframe is all stock other than two new holes drilled in the large cross member.
Which is cool that he can still use it as intended. |

That is a pretty neat idea. Aw, C'mon Sam. That would be cool looking on your Kubota. If ya build something like that though, you might be askin' for more snow. Didn't you move further south to avoid as much of the white stuff as possible?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
