2182 axel bearings
My 2182 has a axel seal that needs replacing. I ordered new seals and bearings for both sides. after taking both sides apart, bearings look ok and feel ok . Question is, how hard is removing and replacing bearings. Do I forget bearings, and just replace seals? I dont want to remove axel tubes and get into a major project. I've removed bearing clips, but didnt want to try to pull bearings. Do I need to remove tubes and have the bearings pressed out, or just pull bearings, and seat bearings in with a socket? Thanks, Don

I'm doing the same thing with my 2182. If the bearings are good don't bother taking them out. They have a snap ring behind the seal that holds them in place. As long as the tubes are still on the rear end, if you need to change them you will need to pull the snap ring and then pull them with a slide hammer with a set of jaws that with fit through the bearing and grab it from the back side.
