Default Installing a Hydraulic lift on Cub125

Hi All,
I picked up a hydraulic lift kit for my cub 125. I had a couple questions about install.
I got the old shift handle removed, and i'm getting ready to install the pump.
Can anyone tell me what size belt is needed for the pump?
How do install the belt onto the pulley?
Any recommendation on fluid to use?
Does anyone have any tricks or tips for installing the kit?
Any help would be much appreciated.

thanks
Jeremy

Can't remember the belt size but I can tell you that you will need to unbolt the engine and move it forward to get the belt around the pulley and driveshaft, you may need to remove the hood and grille housing to give you enough room to move it forward.

Ever think of looking here?
.

Belt is IH-386160-R1

Did you get the correct rockshaft arm for the hydro lift, part #19?

thanks for the info, I found the bolts are 9/16 for the engine mount, i did have move the cover that mounts to engine under the electric to have enough room to slide it forward.
thanks for the link, i was able to get a similar belt at the napa. It appears the lift pump came with the correct rockshaft arm. I got the pump installed, hopefully today I can get everything tightened down thanks again

The install manual states to cut the clutch shield in half. I would recommend that you NOT cut it in half, but notch it around the belt. So you move about 3/4" or so over from center at the top of the clutch shield and cut it back about 1" and then cut it parallel to the edge from the flat mounting platform of the shield.

thanks all for the help, I got all of the hardware installed for the pump. I had to get new hoses made, and it appears I have a small leak somewhere after running it for a little bit. I still need to re-install the foot pedals. I'll work on grabbing some pics to post them later this week.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
