Clutch on Transmission
Has anyone ever moved the clutch from the engine to the input on the trans?

Is this a question about anything or just trucks/vehicles lawnmowers industrial equipment and would it be a power take off clutch or vehicle motion clutch?
and are you asking about a mechanical clutch or hydraulic clutch? Most automatic transmissions today have the clutches in the trans. My crystal ball is murky after the remnants of the hurricane passed so I can't see what is on your mind. |

Motion clutch.
Move from engine to transmission. Then there is a live shaft from the engine. Its on a gear drive cub. It will allow a hydraulic pump to be added for live hydraulics. |

Here is one of the nicest gear drive machines with hydraulics I've seen on any of the sites. Scott was a member on here but I don't think this build was done while he was here so you have to go "over there".

'ppears to me, you'd be money ahead to get a hydro tractor with a drive shaft that spins full time. run your pump off that. Or just use a ported hydro that has enough pressure/volume to do what you want.

Hi/low hydro would only be useful in a HST. Our cubs or GT's are not built for high speed.
