New to me - 42" Blade
Picked up a 42" blade for my 100 a few days ago. It was my Dad's that he bought with his 100 years ago, but he never used it and it sat behind his shed ever since we moved into that house. He let me have it since I would get some use out of it and save it from rotting away into nothing. Either way I'm super excited to use it on my machine. The subframe is a little tweaked on the right side and the lift rod is homemade but overall its very solid and shouldn't be too much work to bring back to life.
I'm also trying a new way to post pictures, so bear with me. They should come out bigger than the 450 x 450 max. on the site attachment feature.

Are those V61's on the front of your 100? If so, they look great! I'm going to get a set for my second 100.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
