Default Who Makes/Sells GOOD Deck Wheels?
I have a 1979 1250 with 44" deck...can't seem to keep wheels on the back of the deck...bearings fall apart & out before even a single season of mowing is over.
Been getting them at Lowes...tired of that...
Who makes &/or sells longer lasting deck wheels? 7 inch diameter is what I've been using.

I get the red metal ones at tsc and paint them white!

Default decent deck wheels
Thanks for the quick replies. I found flanged ball bearings to fit at McMaster-Carr. The wheels & tires are OK, it's just the bearings that come apart.
Maybe if I put decent double shielded bearings in the wheels it'll last..will try anyway.

You shouldn't need bearings in those wheels if your deck is adjusted correctly. They are anti-scalp wheels and shoudn't be running on the ground.

For those of us that set the deck down on the wheels, then good wheels & bearings are imperative..
