Default How rare is a Kohler K341A?

Is it going to be like finding a needle in a hay stack to find one of these? I'd like to have some fun and really build up one of my WF tractors. I thought it might be cool to put one of these in there.

The only cub I'm aware of that came with it was the 169....not exactly the most common bird out there

Yeah that's what I thought. I think there was only a very few thousand of them made. Maybe I can snag a 12 or 14 and have some fun building those out :-) I have no real need here but to have some fun hahaha

A 14 was a little more common. But if you wanted to a k341aqs is a little more common. The 1650s had those a few minor wiring changes and you would be good to go. Plus a electric pto could be a plus

Cub cadet isn't the only company that used Kohler motors. In other words, the 169 isn't the only thing a K341A was ever used for.

Very good point. When I started looking up that other engine mentioned above, JD tractors seem to rise to the top of the Google Charts. I'm just looking for a 16hp engine that will fit into a WF tractor like a 108. Again, I'm just having fun here. Not looking to keep things stock. Don't care if I have to cut or weld a little. Really don't even need the power since the 10hp is more then enough. That being said I also don't really need 4 and counting cubs on my lawn and happy to have them HAHAHA.

What would be really neat is to find a KT 17 series II or equivalent to stick in a gear drive if it wasn't a ton of work. I have never really looked into doing it, but has been a topic of interest for me. You could probably (the reason I say probably is because there's always the alternative) find one of those for as much as the 16hp single cylinder, AND get a pressurized oil system as a bonus. And who can resist the sweet sound of a twin engine barking away?! Just my .02

Could always just find a 582 and drop in the kt. But I wouldn't think its be much different then running the stock Briggs..... maybe a v twin would fit in a wide-frame a bit better then the opposed..... man now ya got the gears in my head turning
