Very nice work 02dmax. It all looks strong and very functional. If I may ask, about the tiller tines. What material did you use, and how did you bend the curve to the final shape. Did you have to heat treat following bending? Also, I like the wheel weights. You must have a pretty good size lathe to cut the rotors to size. Would you mind explaining the process as to how you made these. Thanks and great work.

Thanks. The tines were cut out of 1/4 inch plate with a torch(with the arc shape) and bent in a vise with heat and a 3# hammer. No treating was done to them and I haven't managed to bend one yet(hooked some pretty big roots/rocks).
The rotors happen to be the exact same size as the wheels, they fit right inside the lip around the wheel quite snug.I just cut a circle out of a piece of 1/8 steel and welded them in the centers, which it just so happens the welds cracked (steel to iron). I used some pipe,1/2 I.D. and the depth of the rotors over two of the existing lug holes and filled the rest with concrete.Originally the weights could be mounted the other way,so they wouldn't stick out so far,but I beefed up the mounting stock and now they hit.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
