What's the value of my CC 100?
Hi, I am new here. I bought a Cub Cadet a couple years ago from a guy that was leaving town, he sold it to me for $250.
This is an old, yellow colored, 1964 (I believe), Cub Cadet 100. This tractor is "not" restored, and I don't have necessary funds, or time to learn the skills to restore it. It does "not" run. It turns when I charged the battery but wont start. It has a mowing deck that came with it, however the front "clutch" assembly that moves the belt to the mower is open (disassembled) so I am assuming it is broken and needs to be re-built. So, if it starts it would be a tractor used for pulling more than anything else. The front hood cover is not original, it is not painted, so it's just plain metallic that seems to be made of aluminum. It also came with a front snow blower that I have never used or tested. I am in MN. Any idea how much this would sell for if i put it online on craigslist sold "as is"? What would be the lowest I should sell it for, and what's the highest i can ask for? Sorry, i don't have a photo at the moment. I attached a photo i found online, just imagine the front hood looking different (not original), with more rust / discolored front and engine area, and rusted front exhaust.. missing the grill, missing any front lights, and I dont think the seat is original. Thank you so much! |

From the description you provided, $200 with attachment. Pictures will help so much more! Potentially, if you had it running, it is worth alot more.....even with pictures we can possibly value it for more too. Rusted muffler probably doesn't matter, the hood is a plus even not painted if it is a correct replacement, snow blower could be pristine or worn out.....like I said, a picture is worth 1,000 words.

Yes please provide pictures of you can. The picture you posted is of a series that is a few years newer than the 100. With a thrower your 100 might have an optional creeper gear that is of value. Does it have rear fenders? Obviously worth more in parts but there may be some forum members close to you that would do some horse trading etc. Anyway, pics if you don’t mind.

Thank you everyone. I just moved all the junk and freed this tractor and took photos.
More details: Front tires are low and might be damaged, when i push it you can tell the part of the tire that was touching the floor as it is more flat, hopefully it's temporary and not a damage to the tire itself. I admit that I didn't take care of this one as I should have. This tractor literally sat untouched for 1.5yrs in the same spot. There seems to be an oil leak inside the left back wheel (in photos you will see if on the outside, and the inside of the large back left wheel) The seat is broken, leans back too far and one side is bent so it leans back more (in photos). The glutch / mower gear assembly is "not" taken apart, I remember the guy who sold it to me telling me it needed to be re-built, and back then it did not work as a mower, so I watched videos online but never got around to take it apart and fix it. So, mowing deck never worked for me. When I purchased it, it ran, the engine needed coaxing to get going. The last time I tried to run it was last summer, after charging battery it cranked but did not start. In the photos you can see the front grill and light area, the metallic front hood, the wheels, the chair, the engine from different angles. It came with a snow blower that I never tried or used, don't know if it works. Also in photos. My questions are: What model is this tractor? If I would sell it today exactly "as is" what's a realistic price to expect to get for it? Thank you |

Don't think that's a 100--fenders look wrong, Can't make out if it has the push button starter switch. The good news, it has wheel weights, creeper drive, and sleeve/3pt hitch. Someone will be along shortly that can positively ID it for you.

Not a 100. Good news is the wheel weights are worth 100 bucks. Might be a 104. Add 100 for the creeper.. nice lookin tractor

Looks like a 122 to me, the hood is correct, the seat is for a fishing boat.
I see it has an OOPS pedal.... so it is an early one, serial number will prolly be stamped on a little square block on the right side or under the fender pan rivited to the top of the tranny. I would ask 250.00, if you get it running, 400.00 I like the speed limit sign on the blower, nice touch.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
