Default Kohler rebuild questions

1. I have already rebuild one Kohler "K241" however, the block was stamped K301 but only punched out to 10hp specs. I have looked all over this block and cannot find a stamp with model number other than data plate on the shroud? Did they all not get a model number when they were cast?
2. I pulled the valves and the exhaust looked pretty rough, literally in the attached pictures you can maybe see what I'm talking about. It's like the plating and shaft of the valve is all are away at? Just some background when I pulled the head there was a good sized puddle on top of the piston. The piston was charcoal on top and burnt brown on the skirt of the piston also. It is already .020 over so we are going .030 for sure. Just trying to figure out if I have bigger problems than replacing parts.
3. On this camshaft it looks to be rust? This motor sat out for quite awhile before my kids and I bought it up and has been garage kept since then. About a year. The oil didn't seem to be milky at all so I don't know that there was much moisture in the crank case. Any and all help is appreciated on any of this. If not thanks for your time.

A rebuild kit comes w/new valves and for another $20 they will toss in new guides.

I've seen a lot worse valves.
They are cheap, replace it,---- and the stems are not "plated", check the guide clearance to see if they need replaced, or just ask your machine shop to take care of it when your block is being bored/honed.
Best to take block for inspection before purchasing piston as .010 is really
.005 on each side so to speak.
Not hard to see 3 -4 tho' egg-shape/taper which leaves slim margin for a .010
over what ya have now.
As far as the cam,
Pix don't come through all that clear, if lobes are bad pitted or worn through the case hardening, it needs replaced.
Usually those cam's don't see crazy valve spring pressures, so they don't wear much.
