Zero Turn running difficult
Hi all,
I have a 5 year old zero turn mower with a Koehler 7000 series 25 horse engine. This season has been running very rough and stalls frequently whether under load or not. At times needs choke pulled to run, but even then will sporadically stall. I’ve added some sea foam 2-3 ounces to see if that clears it up but so far no luck. I’m going to change the air filter, other than that any thoughts or suggestions? I know I need a tune up, but this time of year I need my mower. Thanks in advance. Barry |

Thanks for the welcome. I’m not mechanical inclined. I’ve thought it maybe the carburetor. Are there any good tutorial videos on YouTube or elsewhere you might recommend.
Thanks again! Barry |

How many hours on your zero turn? When was the last time the air and fuel filter change? How old is the fuel? Not a big fan of sea foam....it causes more problems than it solves. When was the last time the spark plugs change?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
