Default KT17 series 2 carb question
My yellow 782 has the walbro carb & I would like to get a rebuild kit. I do not have serial # on engine. Does any one know what part # I should look for. Thanks

Do you have any knowledge, that the Carb is original to the tractor...??

You don't need the Serial Number of the engine, just the "spec" number (ie: 24302). Can you find that...??

I can not be 100% sure its original but I did see where these engines came with 2 different makes of carbs. My red 782 has the kohler carb. Where should I look for the # you asked for?

It is usually located on the top side of the engine, around the Carburetor.

OK...How about a Chassis Serial Number, usually located on the LH side around where the LH foot rest is.

Well..........do you know for a fact....that it is a Series II engine, or do you just assume it is?

According to that serial number (724,xxx) the parts manual says it is a Series I.

The ONLY way to know for sure, is to pull the Carb and read the numbers on the mounting flange.

The "Walbro" repair kit for the KT-17 is: 25-757-11-S
