Yet another facelift
Yeah, please say it ain't so. "Another face lift".
 I had one of these when I was a young lad, and of course I ran the wheels off it. So I was on evilpay last week and ran into this used but not used up Tonka dump truck. Sandblasted it last week while doing parts for the JI Case, and painted it yesterday. Used IH red and Power White. Red's not so good, but'll be fine up on the shelf...

Thanks guys, was fun and easy little project. Heck I even found the decals for the doors. (TONKA Hydraulic) so I had to order a set before it hits the shelf with the rest. Still a kid at heart I guess...

Good job. Sometimes doing a quick, little project from start-to-finish is a nice change.
How did the sheet metal hold together? Tabs bent into metal slots? If so, were you concerned about breaking the tabs when bending? Just wondering...
