Yellow touch up paint
Where's the best & least expensive place for some yellow touch up paint for a '91 cub? TSC , napa, dealer, or other?

Went ahead and got some from TSC. Not a perfect match, but better than a rust spot. Actually worked better to spray in cap, let thicken and touch up nicks with a brush.

Not sure of the yellow color on a 91. I got my yellow touch up for my 149 at my dealer. Small bottle with a brush in the lid.

I get it from Orschelein's and it is about $5.29/can. It has a little more of an orange tint to it, so it matches the newest shade of cub cadet yellow.

This probably wouldn't be good "touch up" paint since the color will be different, but I have always had good luck with it holds its color well.

That stuff sprays really thin and is too light a shade of yellow IMHO
I use it for a first coat then follow up with the correct "Federal Yellow" |

I think the clear coat darkened it up some. It's not close, but it turned out ok I guess... Keep in mind boys, this baby was full blown rattle cans. (yeah, I said rattle cans....sue me) More pics of the tractor in the "Lets see your IH Cubs!" thread up top.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
