"Here is a picture of my 1966 122 one of my customers gave me. It came with a haban sicklebar and 42 inch cast end deck with ih 3 point and brinley adapter. I got all manuals and original purchase and delivery info. I have since added a brinly plow disc cultivator and box blade to the collection along with 75 lb plastic coated ih weights. I was given the plow disc cultivator also and a husquavarna front blade. I made my own mount to convert front blade with electric winch for lift. When I got the 122 was able to jump on and drive on the trailer. It needed a new battery and muffler.I then replaced the headgasket and fuel sediment bowl assembly. As far as I know from the original owner, the 122 is original and has never been overhauled or painted. I have cleaned and painted the wheels. It is this city farmer's toy so it has a easy life with a little snow pushing if we get any.I enjoy reading all the cub forums and will eventually clean and paint the haban and one day may rebuild the engine and repaint the 122 but for now enjoying it as it is."

Default pow

Hey thanks for all the comments. I feel very honored to make pow twice since I made pow 2-18 with the tractor. I was super surprised when I saw the 122 again. Thanks again and still enjoying reading the forum several times a day as time permits.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
