Default Transmission problems

Ok here a strange one the cub ran just fine for a while them it stared slowing down, all of a sudden now it will go slow on flat ground but wont go up even a slight incline on the ground, I dropped it just how and pulled it and unscrewed the plug, there's plenty of oil in it.........now what, do I need a replacement rear end in this thing?
Its starting to become a $200 mistake buying it
I need help NOW, its the only mower I have that was worth a damn cutting, the spare wont cut about 1 inch ( its a 94 Murray that's probably why )

Look on Craigslist and Facebook for a donor tractor or cut your losses and buy a decent tractor.

FOUND ONE!!!!!!! ( actually found 2 one free one 200)
A guy that retired from the state GAVE me a " non running Lt1042, so the first thing I did was swap rear ends, now the 1018 runs fine, bu the old salvaged for a junk pile 18 hp Briggs is smoking its butt off so I stonkered with e 1042 Kohler 19 hp and it runs fine, so guess whats next.I couldn't just swap my deck onto this one of use the free one because the gas in the tank turned into Jello, so the Kohler 19 hp is going on my cub as soon as I get an air filter cover cover.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
