Default Greetings from Upstate New York

Hello All,

It's been quite awhile since I visited the site. I recognize a few of the names. (Hi Cecil) I've gotta figure out how to post some pics for ya. My little gang has grown to three: IH 1100 My first tractor. Followed by a CC 1210 with a modified (by others) hanger toting a 50" deck, and a dirt/ snow plow. Finally, the 2072, with 60" Haban deck, a 451 snow blower (needed adapter kit to reach the ground), and a three point cat 0 hitch with drawbar, and a 48" Roto-tiller attachment, shaft driven by rear PTO.
My problem is, I work 'em so much I can't find time to really go through them the way I'd like. I have arrived at a theory...If I get some "spares" as back-up, I'll be able to really get into the Super and freshen it up. Unfortunately, wifey wants to waste all our money on food and mortgage payments
I'd like to get ahold of an 1811, or maybe an 1863 to tote the 50" deck and the 451 'blower. Then I could give the old boys a good goin' over.

And as an aside...The one tractor that has run for me with the least problems, with bad gas, original battery from when I bought it, and really being ignored...is the 1100. Go figure.

Think I got it...These were the first tractors I owned. I still have the 1100, but sold the 2072 back to the seller...It's a long story...But I went on to acquire another Super. I'll get pics as soon as I can find some.

Im originally from the southern tier (Waverly, NY)..went to college in the Catskills, (and went to school from lots of kids from LawnGuyLind) and have also lived in Albany, Corning, and now Rochester..I have learned:

If you are from New York City or LawnGuyLind, "upstate" begins just north of the Bronx.

If you are actually FROM upstate NY, upstate is North and West of Binghamton!

Scot (from upstate NY!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
