Default Hello from a 106 & 169 owner in IL

106- Deck, spring assist, rear lift and snow plow.

169- Bought a few years back for $50 bucks! Was on its way to the scrap yard and bought it off the trailer as it was on its way there! Engine was junk (even broke the block), just found a replacement for it a few weeks back. Currently swapping the new one in, just havent had alot of time to stay at it. Low hour machine. Only attachment is a deck.

I've also got a few tractors, a 460 gas and an 806 diesel. My dad has a 560 gas with a 2000 loader and a 59 A110 Pickup! Grew up farming so we have a few of the old toys around yet!

Just wanted to say hi!

Welcome. Sounds like you've got a nice collection of IH equipment in the family.

Thanks guys! I've got some tractor pictures but not of the cubs.

Heres the 460 and 560 on my trailer getting ready for a local pull.

And another shot of the 460 from the 4th.

Heres an M I'm restoring for a friend.

And another shot of it. Just after i built the new wiring harness.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
