Here is the mock up
I plan on adding a piece on the back because I`m afraid if I cut the chassis in half it will weaken it to much. 2011-08-03 10.23.48.jpg Of course it will have super tires and wheels 2011-08-03 10.24.03.jpg The back fender pan bolts will bolt in the front 2011-08-03 10.24.11.jpg 2011-08-03 10.24.33.jpg

Actually, the back is where the extra length is on a super anyway...my 1872's frame has the rearend bolt holes and 3-point hitch upper holes, and then a few inches further back it has the holes the tractor uses to attach the rear.

Great idea, I was also thinking about stretching a quietline, I recently picked up a 1650, and have a line on a 1450 roller to go along with my 1250. Once I finish restoring the tiller that came with the 1250, my plan is to get after one of the tractors. Being 6 foot and a less than solid 280 lbs maybe a stretch is in order!

I am liking the idea of the extended wheel base, will keep my eye on this one!
I have been thinking about your project, seems pretty straight forward in concept. Was wondering what your plan is for the clutch/ brake pedal? Do you plan to move it rearward in the frame, the same amount as you slid the fender pan/ rear end and trans, placing back in the same perspective with the foot rests that it had originally? I guess another option would be to cut the pedal off it's mount and adding a piece to it that runs in line with the bottom of the frame, to move the pedal assembly rearward back in position over the foot rest. This would be the easy solution, but the added length would make an odd travel if the pedal when pushing it with your foot, as it traveled forward, it would also travel upward....hhmmm...probably a bad idea. Just thinking aloud...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
