Found something cool
I've been scouting a 582 for a new member out at my friends cub graveyard, when I checked the serial number it turns out it was made in the last month of production before mtd took over. Knowing what I know now if he passes on it its going to be mine. The serial is 690644 and production ended at 693143, here's a pic.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
