Default Last winter project

Thought everyone would enjoy this. I was getting upset blasting parts outside over the winter months, either my line would freeze up, gun would freeze or just the plain fact of wasting sand all over my yard. So I made this. It's big enough to put a tractor frame, car door, tractor hood etc.. No more wasted sand.

Great work. That's a serious blast cabinet. Now I know where to bring my parts

It works for what I need it to do, it's definitely not a professional cabinet but for having most of the material taking up space in the shop it worked out. It's 6'W x 3'D x 3'H .

Honestly that was the most expensive option, one pair of flanges and gloves were $50 on ePay. The gloves are ok, I like ASC brand better from northern tool, they have more grip. These are skatblast brand and I bought them cause they have different lengths to choose from when you purchase. The longer length helps me rotate the piece without opening the cabinet.

Good job! Bet that is handy! Did you get some plastic film for the windows? We use it on ours at work, otherwise you'll ruin the glass or plexiglass. We got ours from McMastercarr.

I picked up lexan from menards which replaced the glass in the old picture frames, they had precut sizes, if I remember correctly they are 11x14. But to answer your question, no I didn't get any film.

We had glass in ours and it got etched, tried plexiglass it etched quickly. If you use it a lot you have to replace the film everyday if not twice, but it saves the glass window.

This cabinet is totally in wood? A friend of mine did one half that size and he use a metal grill to place the part on but he plank all the inside wall with screwed sheet metal since he use it a lot.

You did a great job , he look amazing!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
