Male pattern ----mowing.
Ok now I mow 4 plus acres at the farm. I'll mow side to side one time. Then at 45 next. Then front to back another. I try to keep it mixed up to avoid ruts in the yard. My problem comes when somebody jumps on a second mower. They can't seem to follow my lead and cut in a pattern. My wife is the worst. She cuts in these funky little squares. There is hope though, today after awhile she did pick up on my 45 pattern. I gave her a thumbs up and clapped. I hate to fuss at anybody because I do appreciate the help.

So I load the dishwasher in whatever way makes sense to me. Ditto on laundry, cleaning the bathroom, etc. She can mow in whatever manner floats her boat. |

No pattern for me, I just mow it. House was built on a field and the land has too many humps and bumps, it is what it is.

Oh boy, touchy subject. Maybe you could just explain before you begin which way you would like to mow. If its two of you running, you need to do it the same way, kind of like running 2 identical machines in a farm field. If your wife still wants to mow a different pattern, then so be it I guess. More important stuff to argue about.
After 20 years, I can pretty much load the dishwasher. When it comes to the washing machine, my uniforms, white clothes, and towels are about it. I don't want to hear it if I were to screw up a load of "nice" clothes.

I'm very particular when it comes to mowing my front & back yard and I'm the only one that does it. I do the same thing about the angle of the cut. I cut it lengthwise one week and then the next time it gets cut at a 45 degree to the prior cut. It should be cut at 90 degrees but that would be too hard to do on my yard.
All the other grass, my wife gets on the Kubota and mows the other 4 or 5 acres with her iPod on just singing away in no particular way. She says it is great stress relief and I would have to agree, I like cutting grass.

I gave up years ago trying to explain a mowing pattern to my wife years ago! Oak she does the same with her Ipod and just mows all over with no particular pattern I don't complain.... I just say let me do the front yard because I know where the sprinkler heads are!
She won't let me near her pots and pans, the kitchen or the washing machine... I don't complain about that either!!

Pick your battles boys, pick your battles! After 46 years I gave up trying to explain things to her. She can't understand why I need so many cubs but I can't understand why she needs so many shoes!

My pattern depends on which mower I am using,,,
My favorite machine does not have power steering,,, I mow mostly straight/long sections when using that one. If I hop on one of the power steering machines,, my pattern becomes VERY intricate. I JUST purchased a hydrostatic machine that has 4.7 GPM dedicated to steering,,, EFFORTLESS turning of the wheel,, even my SIL noticed how easy the steering is. I will probably tear up the lawn with too many high speed turns,,, |

Nice thing about lawn mowing, if you don't like how it turned out,
you get another practice session next week! Unlike doctors who call their jobs "medical practice" and bury their mistakes. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
