Talking Restored 38A - I think

Here is a pic of my mower deck and mule rive that i just restored. It's a 38" deck. I think it's a 38A. I found it on Craigslist in Ohio. It doesn't have a tag so i don't what letter is in the model number. Only ended with one goof in the paint.

1 problem with this, I spent money on painting it and now want to trade for a bigger deck. It'll last a few more years.

That deck looks great. I really need to do the 42" deck for my 128 this summer. That gives me some good motivation.

Nice work on the 38A deck that is what it is. Hmmmm, are your blades on correctly or am I missing something?

Looks great from my seat here also, LOL. I'm working on a 42inch deck for my 102-D but haven't got much done lately. Good job on yours Kris!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
