I assume your planning to buy it from her? Without pics it's hard to gauge but a running 125 in decent condition should be worth $200 to $300 and the tiller is probably worth $200 to $250 depending on condition.

Do what you want but I would not pass up the opportunity to own my grandfather's tractor, I'm fortunate that my grandfather is still around and it's widely known that I am to get his tractor when he passes. My dad has spent the last 26yrs looking for the 8n that my great grandfather bought new.

I understand what you mean. I may buy it. I know where there is a deck foe it most likely. And my grandma said that the tiller always worked great. They are a neat tractor for sure

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
