Default Is the site unbelievably slow for anyone else?

I've been having trouble in the evenings with OCC not wanting to load. I'm sure it's just high internet traffic in my area. I know it's not a PC problem, as it does it on the PC at the shop, the laptop at home and on my phone. No problems with any other sites though, so I thought maybe it was an OCC issue? Maybe just busy? It's so bad tonight, I think I'll just come back later. Just thought I'd ask and see if I'm the only one.....

Just a follow up post:
Just like always, about now the site is fine. Like I said, I'm sure it's just high traffic on my end. You know, kids on x-box and that crap. Everything is working up to speed now! Guess I'll just live with it.

I agree probably a traffic jam on your end. It happens here too with other larger pages.

The only problem I have is sometimes the pages don't stop loading, even though I can see everything there is to see on the page. Hitting the STOP button doesn't help. The only thing that does is closing and reopening the browser. Google Chrome on Windows 7 and Linux.

Yep, sometimes I have those issues too. Not just here either....

I too use Chrome, and am running windows 7. Actually, been really happy with W7. I switched to it from XP pro.

That was Linus! Hmmm, that was also the name of the guy who created Linux.

I surf occ while playing my Xbox at the same time the wife is watching Netflix on another Xbox, I doubt your problem is Xbox related. I also get the endless loading icon but I just ignore it.

I didn't mean my kids on X-box. We don't own any of that crap. We do have a Wii we got used that no one ever plays......

I meant no school today so there may have been 50K kids on X-boxes that were all feeding into our small rural internet system. Speed here is better than it ever used to be.... but it really hasn't been very many years ago that we were on dial-up. Not many Cat 5 wires or fiber around here. We just got 4G service (cell phone) here within the last year. Phones were capable, towers weren't.

Jonathan

The size of the servers bandwidth capacity, that your internet service provider has, has a lot to do with the speed of internet traffic. The more people wanting bandwidth, the slower it goes.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
