Default 1050?

I see a 1050 coming up in a local auction. I cannot view it live but from pictures it looks pretty decent. Has almost 900 hours on the meter. I would keep/restore this but I don't have a clue what to bid. Are parts plentiful/available, are they good machines, what is a fair value? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I like mine. Haven't had any issue getting parts. It's basically an '82 series gear drive.... nothing really fancy about it.

Bidding: unless it's super nice, and you like to pay a lot of money, I think top price is about $500/600 with a mowe deck. One on c-list in my area now for $500. I paid less for mine, but no mower deck with it.

Thank you. This has a deck but I can't make out the condition from the pics.

"A/C" style deck? Or an older triangle style?

Pictures are poor in quality and angles but I don't think it is the older. One other question, I don't see an "armstrong" lever, did these come with electric lifts??

According to my book, manual lift was the only option.

Mine did not have a hour meter on it. If it does not have a manual lift, then it might not be a 1050. Just may have the wrong hood. Could be a 1811.

None of them do, unless added.

Here are pictures from the website. After looking again I realize that this tractor is a hydro so it must not be a 1050, so now I'm just more corn-fused, more help needed and appreciated.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
