Default 122 with couple options

Dad is considering selling his 122. It has creeper drive and headlights. We have, supposedly, every repair bill for the machine. Dad got it from the widow of the original owner about 3 years ago. We may even have the bill of sale. The paint is obviously a brush job. Machine does not appear to have been abused. Engine was rebuilt about 15 years ago, doubt it has logged 100 hrs since. I mowed with it for an hour yesterday, runs great. Obviously some wear items but no reason you can't use it for a weekly mower. I know parting it out would yield more $$$, but this one is just too nicely equipped to do so (creeper drive and headlights on this old of a machine are odd this far south). FWIW, this was a Midwest machine that the owner brought south when he moved 25-30 years ago. What's a fair price for it?

$5 is kinda low,
$600 is betterer.
I see it has a oops pedal so it is an early production 122.
why not keep it?

What do you mean an "oops pedal"?

I'd love to keep it, but if you only knew how many toys I have that are older than I am

No kick up on the end of the clutch pedal to keep your foot from slipping off.....oops

Why does it always have to be about $$$. My opinion is anyone who would part this machine out should be shot by firing squad, hung by the neck until dead, and for good measure, buried alive.

If you don't want/need it, let it go to someone who does.

I'm not trying to be a , but thats my 2 cents!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
