JD plow on a 982?
Hey guys I found a deal on 44" John Deere plows, NIB for $75. They are model BM21342. Any idea if they could be modded to work on a Cub 982?
Suggestions welcome! |

With a torch, welder, drill and some good old Yankee Ingenuity, you can make most anything work. For $75, I'd snap up 1 or 2, just because.
BTW, is that the kit?

Yes it is actually. I'm going to pick one up tomorrow. I'd like to figure out a way to put hydraulics on it too.

That's good it's the kit, will make it a lot easier to adapt. Wish I was closer, I would make them work on something.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
