She's not a very responsible gun owner. Her grip is all wrong and she has her finger on the trigger before she's on target. Also, that's a 1911 which is single action only and it should never be carried with the hammer down. Tisk, tisk.

Is the hammer down? Looks like it is just the dovetail/handguard

Don't matter about granny, EVERY Cadet ever built is a lawnmower in my opinion. I barely consider a Farmall Cub a tractor, and it ain't much at that. And don't bother telling me Cadet called them tractors, I (well dad actually) has a full set of the those late 80's big blue parts books, one is labeled garden tractors, another super garden tractors---and MTD was wrong for doing so.

Technically the hammer is up but in gun terms it is down. Either way the 1911 should be carried in condition 1 which is a round in the chamber, hammer cocked and the safety on.

Granny, I bet it's not even loaded. Better pull the trigger aimed at an MTD just to make sure.

I was going to school many years ago and working a couple of jobs to pay my way. One of them was being an archery tech at Bass Pro and one was at a Tool and Die Shop. One night at Bass Pro I was working behind the archery counter on a compound bow for a regular customer. He was a State Trooper here in Alabama. We were in mid conversation when we heard a firearm discharge in the store. He was in full uniform and reached for his pistol. I froze. Turns out that a young fellow (just turned 21) removed his firearm from his waist ( I assume it was in his pants) and was checking to see which holster on the shelf fit it best. He accidentally discharged it. The round went through two shelfs in front of him and missed a small child by less than a few feet. Scary scary scary. The trooper removed the firearm from the kid and walked him outside. I don't believe he ever got in any trouble, and I think the kid got his gun back.

One time I was firing an arrow and it got caught on the sight, exploded the arrow, and almost cut my face all to hell. The bow also broke.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
