Default Briggs V twin flywheel
I picked up a puller today, cause kids wanna try it, and did a barter so I'm not out any cash. Anyways, the guy I got it from, said he got it this way. It has V-twin Briggs. He said it runs very high rpms. My question is, how can I tell if it has an aftermarket flywheel or not? This one looks like its stock. I can post pics tomorrow if needed. I don't want a flywheel to explode on the kids.

How high RPM's does it run?

Im not aware of any aftermarket flywheels for B&S motors.....

If it were me, I would govern it to 3600 rpm for the kids. Then you don't have to worry about the flywheel.

i asked him and he said it has no governor... i havent looked into it too deep to see if its even hooked up or not. did do a google search and found billet steel flywheels for briggs so i guess they are out there. ill give this thing the once over tomorrow and report back with some pics. man this thing is ugly. truth be told i wanted it mostly for the tires it has titan tru power 8 ply 26 12s on it.

The small vanguard's 12-16 HP are used for pulling somewhat frequently.

Ok. I can see that. But a Vanguard isn't really a B&S motor.

By that logic then could I conclude that a V Twin isn't a B&S engine?
