Default Fuel pump opinions

Good Afternoon fellas,

My first post on here as I am racking my brain trying to get my mower running. I took one lap around the yard on my 982 this evening and it died. The fuel pump is not working. I have transplanted a Kubota 3cyl. Diesel in it and from what I can tell it has some sort of Facet cube style pump on it (came with the motor). I found a pump at NAPA part # 610-1050. 4-7 psi at 32 gph. Do you think this will do the job or to big? Wasn't trying to wait for the mailman to get the grass cut, but if I have to I will. Thanks in advance!

Kubota dealer will have the pump cheaper than online.
I got one one my 1512 for like $69.00

The Facet pump will work just fine.. Your using it as a lift pump only. The price is fair at $50-$60 and Facet is one of the best brand pumps..

The Kubota, did it have a mechanical, or electronic pump on it? Could have had either....

If you get an electric pump, make sure it is rated for diesel fuel.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
