Default Hello from the Jersey shore.

Hi all.

Been reading this site for quite some time and finally decided to join.

Only one cc as of right now; a 782 that I have known since new.

I have however owned a 185 lowboy, a 982, and a couple of 882 diesels .

My 782 has been in continous duty since 1980, the hour meter quit at 1640hrs and that was probably in 93 or 94.

Going to restore this one and am in the process of trying to get another diesel.

Thanks for having me.

Mark

Mark,
Welcome aboard. I like smokers, too. So I can see why you're trying to get another one. Can't wait to see some pics.

Welcome. I almost thought you were only about 25 miles from me as we have a town in central PA called Jersey Shore but I see you are from the real Jersey Shore.

Know the area pretty well. Friend of mine lives there and i
was at the traditional boyers rendezvous earlier this month at denton hill.

My family was originally from the dubois area.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
