Warped oil pan

Well after trying a new pan gasket and help from j-mech I checked my oil pan and it appears to be warped! Guess it's off to the machine shop Monday! Here's a pic, don't know how well you can see the gap in the center.

I agree w/George. You can probably pick up a CI pan for what it would cost to shave the aluminum pan.
Plus, you will eliminate any possible stripped thread issues and also be able to hang a magnetic heater on it to aid with any cold weather starting issues.
Win-Win situation all around IMHO>

while there is a fair amount of slop in a Cub driveline alignment is somewhat critical. shaving the pan or leaving the gasket out affects that. its much more critical in open rpm pullers but alignment can cause issues in stockers to, they weren't that great in that area from the factory.

I was thinking that too. Have a couple friends I may ask if they have one or if they know someone who does.

Correct! I was the first and only to suggest to "true" up the oil pan as if it were an aluminum head. J-Mech helped on the procedure, while all the other "warped" ones thought it was black rtv!

Just goes to show,....

Looked around on evil pay and talked to some friends. Think I will do the pan like you would a head and sand it. It's not a pulling tractor so not to concerned.
