Haban 60 Inch mower deck Spindal bearings
Hi Guys today while mowing with my 1782 the bearings all got ripped out of the spindal by the spring on my haban 60 mower deck (190-325-100 deck). See pick. Does anyone know if it is possible to repack the bearing as the spindal looks ok. See pic. If is can be done can someone point me in the right direction for the bearings?

Well I'd say you got all the good out of the bearing in the idler pulley.
looking at your pix, there is no repacking of the bearing as it is shot, and the balls are gone. It is way past repacking of the grease. As you have no pix of the actual spindle bearings that mount the blades, we have no idea what they look might look like. If your problem is just an idler pulley, it is easily replaced with a new one. from your local tractor supply/ farm supply or dealer. be sure to take the old pulley along, with the mounting bolt & adaptor so you can get the correct one. They are prolly available from cub but usually ,more expensive going that route. |

Probably a 6203 bearing.
Drill the rivets out, install a new 6203 bearing and use short 1/4-20 bolts to reassemble and you're good to go. DSCN2683.jpg DSCN3327.jpg Bearings do get a little pricey like this one that will last you probably another 10 years. https://www.ebay.com/itm/6203-2RS-tw...QAAOSw2XFUkzG0

Oak,
don't give away all our secrets!! FYI, some cheap Idlers don't have actual bearings, just balls in a hardened cage those assy's have to be junked. Murray was great for those "cheapies" |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
