Default Brinly planter

I was wondering what a brinly planter usually bring if they have the seed plates and the row marker?

They bring pretty big $$ around here if you ever see one for sale. This is the only one I ever seen for sale in my area in 10 years and I couldn't pull $250 out of my pocket fast enough. It is missing the hitch and row marker. It came with one seed plate.

Then at a show a few years ago I think I paid $20 for this stack of seed plates.

Thanks for the input. I have been bidding on the one that's listed in the ebay section.

Well..... I'd stop. That one has been sitting down in the dirt for a long, long time. I can see the rust line on it. It was sunk half way up the hitch. It will take a lot of time and work to get that one working again. It's going to be all froze up. I also have a planter, and was looking at that one, but given the condition it's in, it's already up to about 2X what it is worth in the condition it's in.

Thanks for the advice. That's the same thing I thought.

I disagree with the rust issue, the biggest problem these planters have is the hoppers being completely rusted out and it would appear the hoppers on this one look pretty nice and still have most of their paint. All of the lower parts that are rusted are made from very heavy metal so everything should clean up and be usable, you can also see that the dirt line on the wheel doesn't match up to the dirt line on the rest of it which would indicate that the wheel has turned recently. I got way more out of mine and it was in worse condition.

You would be correct Jon.

Have you ever seen one of these?

I haven't used it either.

Sorry, back to the OP. I don't see any planters on EBay. Is it sold?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
