Default rebuilding Walbro carbs?

I'm dealing with my first Walbro carb on a K321 off a 147. Is there a different kit to rebuild these? or is it the same kit as the carter/kohler carbs? I haven't taken this one apart yet. I understand the fill valve seat is not replaceable if it is worn or damaged.

Not here yet. I hear they are really great price wise,

I used them because I was getting a few other "off-brand" items.

We should know within a few days.

I am sure you could dig through the sponsors at the top of the page.

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering how the eBay carb kits worked out for you. I am in a similar situation with a whg on a 1450 that needs a cleaning/rebuild. Did you used the k1-whg kit that everyone there is selling? I did the carburetor cleaner test on the throttle shaft and it's definately leaking also, has anyone tried the the shaft seal kit for a walbro?

The other side of my brain is telling me to save the $20 on the two kits and put it towards a kohler carb. From what I read I need a kohler #30 carb. Are all #30 carbs for a k321 the same or do they vary by brand, i.e. a jd k321 carb cannot be used on a cub? Any insight or advice welcome

Bill

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
