Newer tiller can be made to work on a NF?
I have a line on what I think is a 190-002 hydraulic tiller for a 2500 series Cub Cadet.
With a torch and welder I am pretty confident I can hang it on my CC127. And find a good location for the pump. Do you think it would be too much for the 127 weight wise? This source says it has a shipping weight of 350lbs. No idea what a IH 2 tiller weighs in at to compare. Or if 12hp will be enough to run the tiller. Watch you think. P.S. brand new never used per seller. |

My guess is it should work. You'll need to fab up a mount for the pump and drive for it. I've thought about doing the same thing for a Super with a 3 point.

you must be gettin it pretty cheap. anything is possible with a torch and welder as for weight i would not worry your tractor is much more of a tractor than a 2000 series IMO

he claimed it was un-used and wanted $400
after he added pics, it looks like not unused and painted black? http://dothan.craigslist.org/grd/4923175588.html I think I will keep on looking for a #2 tiller. |

Probably painted black for MTD. It looks like it's been sitting out side and I'd be concerned that the hyd fittings on the pump were not capped off. Doesn't look used but it does have that nice green look to it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
