Compression Release Problems....
Bought a new pulling cam from Vogel. It is the 4K welded cast cam. Stock lift just alot of duration.
It has been a pain to get it to start easy. I had problems getting the valves correct. Now the spring on the compression release is slipping off and causing the ACR not to work. It will work proper for a few starts then it starts to crank very slowly. When I first had the problem I noticed the spring was all bent up. (maybe damaged it during the install) Had a stock cam and removed the spring and installed it on the new cam. Ir worked fine for a while. (maybe 8 starts) Now it is hard to start. My valve last is @.011 on the exhaust and @.009 on the intake. What would cause the springs to bend while installed on the cam? What will cause it to come out of place as well?
