Cub Cadet 100 rims/wheels?
Howdy,
I need rims for my 100. My current setup is 23x9.5x12 Turfs on what I believe to be 8.5” rims. The offset on the rims seems goofy. If I turn them one way, they stick out so far that they hit my mower deck. If I turn them the other way, the tires just miss the frame and rub on my home brew 3pt and they look silly. What rims do I need? Thanks in advance, Mike |

There were two options for rear wheels on the 100. Stock was a 6-12 tire on a 55A or 5JA rim (IH-376189-R91). There was the optional larger tire 8-12 on a 7JA rim (734-3004). The 8-12 tire was replaced with the now 23-8.50 x 12.
The 55A or 5JA rim is 12 x 5 size. The 7JA rim is 12 x 7 size.

Just a FYI, the rims will have the numbers stamped in them.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
