Super 3 point

Found original 1914 with pto and 3pt will it fit my 1772. Also is original 3pt as good as 3pt from extreme motor sports? Would save some time using extreme as apposed to swapping entire rear ends.

Extreme doesn't make SGT cat 0 hitches, he makes GT hitches. If you want the best of the best(better than OEM) contact Bill Ruegg or there was a rear hitch off of a 982 in the for sale section here a few weeks ago. His rear hitch is better than the original for Cub Cadet. At this time nobody makes rear pto's for our machines so you will need to find a used one.

Thank you for your input. I talked with extreme the do have for supers and gt. Unless he's full of hooey. I also talked with ruegge he told me he's thinking of not making them for cub Cadets anymore. I was worried about parts later on. Will the 1914 swap with my 1772? Again thank you.

Extreme makes them for the super garden tractors, but they are a replica of the GT hotch, and will NOT allow you to use a rear pto. Everything from the 1914 should swap over to your 1772. That'd be the route I'd go if it were up to me

Thank you so much. I bought the 1914 from original owner. 3pt and pto never been used. Beautiful tractor. Hate to swap but I love my 1772. Again thank you.

Please don't molest a 1914, they are rare.

Here is the Ruegg hitch. I don't think there is anything that a 1772 could break on it. They are super heavy duty.

The Ruegg hitch is super high quality and I think is almost an exact copy of the
factory Cub Cadet hitch.. In fact i think the parts will swap so I wouldn't worry about parts availibility. From what I have heard people like the Ruegg hitch better than the Xtreem unit.

I would hate to see a 1914 taken apart also... but thats just my opinion

Jay, I'm sure you are understanding..... The Ruegg hitch and the Xtreme hitch are not comparable. They are completely different. Xtrmeme makes a copy of a garden tractor hitch, that will fit a super garden tractor. Ruegg makes a copy of the SGT hitch ONLY. It will not work on a GT at all. The two hitches cannot be compared.

Does your 1914 have a cast or aluminum rear end? That'll help determine if you could swap the rear end cover with the pto provisions to the 1772.

The 1914 is aluminum I checked. I hate to swap rear ends because the 1914 is so clean. I'm going to take pictures so I know how everything is supposed to be painted when I finish my 1772. I have the 1914 sold minus 3pt and pto. So I don't have to pay for a ruegge hitch assy. I guess I'll do the swap. Thank all for your input.
