Default Hey From Alabama

Well im a newbie to the cubs. In fact im a newbie to any old tractors like this. I just bought two tractors. I went to get a 1450 and picked up a 105 as well. I am hoping to get the 1450 going pretty quick and then take my time on the 105. I really like the narrow frame's. I have a steel shop in Birmingham Alabama. So working with the frame and parts should be easy, with the engine work though, I am lost. I look forward to learning about these great little tractors.

As far as my family I am very happily married with two great little kids. Both girls. These tractors and my workshop get me away from tea parties and pink lol.

Welcome to the site. Maybe those girls have been having tea parties because they haven't had a chance to help dad with the wrenches. Ya never know. Oh.. you can send your weather "up north" anytime.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
