Tires for sprayer trailer?
I bought a 15 gallon spot sprayer from Rural King that I plan to build a trailer for. At first I was going to use the cheap 10" pneumatic tires but they aren't well known for holding air long. So then I came across some 10" solid rubber tires but they are an inch narrower and I fear they may cut into the yard too much. Then I pondered the 13" pneumatic tires also even though they are a little bit more expensive.
So which of these would you choose as the best tire for a 15 gallon sprayer trailer? I'm open to suggestions as well. After seeing them all, I'm favoring the last one linked. 1. http://www.harborfreight.com/10-inch...ire-30900.html 2. http://www.harborfreight.com/10-inch...ire-35459.html 3. http://www.harborfreight.com/13-in-p...382-10462.html 4. http://www.harborfreight.com/13-inch...ire-37767.html

In my opinion id go with the wider tire if your worried about it hurting the ground...also the 13 inch tire would roll over small ruts..rocks...mounta of dirt... better then the 10" air filled tires seem to handle bumps better and cut in less.

You may want to consider one of these.
http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...ch=118522-1554 We have one that we haul our sprayer around with. Just put a battery in it along with the sprayer and have at it.

I've actually got this one https://www.menards.com/main/p-2255063-c-13262.htm that I picked up on sale for $40 and I thought about using it, but decided to build a trailer instead just because I like building things and my 8 year old daughter loves to help me weld. I've already got the metal laying around to build it with, and I've got a couple sets of 10" air tires that are extras from the kids training wheels for their dirt bikes, but I'm thinking I'd rather have a different kind of tire for the sprayer.

If you are set on making your own trailer, you might consider getting a pair of wheels and tires from the front of a Cub Cadet. I'd bet that some of the guys here have some decent old wheels and tires they would sell pretty cheap.
They would definitely carry the weight and wide tires wouldn't dig into the ground too much.

That's a pretty decent idea, and the bearings would be superior to the Chinese wheel's bearings

Maybe use the entire front axle from any el-cheapo lawn mower. Tire size would be appropriate. You could just tack weld the spindles.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
