Default Need Tiller/Scraper Connection Help!

I have a 1450 that I bought in January that came with a tiller and Brinley box scraper. I am not new to Cub Cadets but I am new to rear-attached implements. I really need the box scraper and I found out I don't have the rear bracket on this tractor.

I posted on the board to try and get some help here: http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...t=32482&page=2 I am going to try again.

This is what is on my tractor:

The bottom bracket is missing. The outside width of the tiller bracket is 11" and the inside width is 10 1/2".

The #2 tiller attachment has an inside dimension of 9 1/2" and and outside dimension of 10 1/4". This is what I mesured:

I have a Brinley BB-36 box scraper. I measured the attachment point. I got an inside dimension of 9" and an outside dimension of 9 3/4". This is what I measured:

Does any one know what bracket I need to attach the scraper? I see "narrow" and "wide" brackets for sale. Which is correct for connecting both the tiller and scraper? Am I mising any other parts?

Thanks,

Bob

You need to narrow lower hitch mount. Post an ad in the wanted section. I bet you'll find one in a couple days. Or go here: http://www.xtrememotorworks.com/

You may have to lengthen the ends on your scraper too to clear the tiller gear box.

I think you might be correct. Looking at his pics, doesn't look like it will clear. Is that pic of your tractor? Does it have the lower hitch bracket inside the tiller bracket?

I may try to pull the bracket off the scraper to see if it will fit on the tiller bracket.

The tiller bracket is on my 1450. I also have a 1000 that doesn't have a 3 point lift. If I found one for it I could put a bracket on the 1000 and not have to modify the scraper of it doesn't fit on the 1450. It seems like WF 3 point lifts are hard to find though.

They aren't hard to find. Put an ad in the "wanted" section. Or contact one of the sponsors above. If you still can't find one, Patton can more than likely hook you up. If you don't need the lift on both tractors, take the one off the 1450 and put it on the 1000.

Yes its my tractor and I did put the lower hitch bracket on with the tiller bracket and lengthened the Brinly hitch to clear the tiller gear box. This setup lets me use all the attachments I have. You need that hitch bracket for your tiller also. Unless you use a steel rod all the way through the tiller bracket which you will have to take a tire off to get it in.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
