QA42 question
I just acquired a QA42 snow thrower, thanks Nitro. Do they have to be bolted on or is there a way to use the quick detach on my 73?

This cool little piece wouldn't be a rod similar to the one that goes through the mule drive would it?

It's a piece of metal with a 1/2" rod that keeps you from having to fumble with another nut, bolt, washer and lock washer. Slip it in place and a single 1/2-13NC bolt and lock washer make life easier

A qa 42 uses the quick attach on a 73, no need for those brackets.
But i use bolts on the front holes for extra security.

That's how I thought it would work to look at it, but the quick detach latch wont clear the 90 degree box.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
